A fragment of a Post Medieval silver half groat of Charles I [1625-1649]. Aberystwyth mint, dating from AD 1638-1642. Cf. North 1991 Vol II, p. 172, nos. 2343-2344, also Spink 2901. Approximately only 1/3rd of the coin remains due probably to plough damage. It has a diameter of 15.18mm, is 0.65mm thick and weighs 0.6gms.
