Silver coin (shilling/pence?), of Charles I (AD1625-49). Obverse depicts crowned bust left with numbers to right. Obverse legend: CAROLVS [D]G. M. B F. ET. H[IB REX]. Reverse depicts crowned oval shield. The reverse legend appears to have been double struck with perhaps an obverse legend. The coin is clipped and pierced through the centre with the silver bent over on the obverse side. Unknown mint mark. Due to the poor condition of this coin and lack of dimension information it is difficult to include numismatic data.
