A Post Medieval hammered silver coin of Charles I, a group E shilling bust type 4.3. The initial mark is a triangle. Dates to between c1639 and c1640 AD.
The diameter is 31mm and weight is 5.70g.
Obverse inscription is CAROLVS D G MAG BRI FR[A] ET HIB REX and the reverse inscription is CHR[IST]O AVSPICE REGNO. The coin may have been clipped.

Post Medieval silver hammered coin, probably a Scottish twenty pence of Charles I as there is a thistle on the reverse and what appears to be a left facing bust on the obverse. Dates to between c1625 and c1648 AD.
The diameter is 15mm and the weight 0.58g.
The coin is damaged and heavily worn.
