Gold hammered crown of Charles I. Clipped. Bell mint mark. Issued London 1634-5. Obverse: bust left. V behind. CAROLVS D G MAG BR FR ET HI' REX Reverse: oval sheild between crowned C and R CVLTORES SVI DEVS PROTEGIT The left hand side of both the obverse and reverse appear very worn. However, the legends are very sharp and in mint condition. The wear is therefore a result of a worn die rather than coin use.
