Gold crown of Charles I (AD1628-29), Tower of London mint, North no. 2182. Obverse depicts crowned bust left with ruff, with 'V' to the right of bust. Obverse legend: CAROLUS DG MAG BRI FR ET HIB REX. Reverse depicts square-topped shield with crown. Reverse legend: CVLTORES. SVI. DEVS. PROTEGITI. Anchor mint mark on obverse. Good condition.
