A silver half groat coin of Charles I (1625 - 1649). The coin is pierced and sinuously bent, but not as regularly as is often seen on Georgian love tokens. The obverse is very worn. It is a group B issue showing the second bust with II behind. There is a plume mintmark dating the coin to 1630 - 1631. The reverse legend is written out in full. For reference see North's English Hammered Coinage Volume 2, page 161, number 2250.
