A worn and heavily clipped silver Charles I group E penny (AD 1625-1649) with the Aberystwyth bust. The king's bust is heavily worn, as is the legend. No inner circles and a small flat single arched crown. On the reverse the oval garnished shield is visible. The style of the garnishing around the shield suggests a late date for this issue, possibly at one of the Civil War mints. The legend on both faces is heavily worn and has been partially clipped away. The obverse should read CAROLVS D G M B F ET H REX and the reverse IVSTITIA THRONVM FIRMAT Date is 1638-39. mint is London. Diam…

Two Post Medieval hammered coins, a group III silver half crown of Charles I fused to an unidentifiable copper alloy coin, presumably a contemporary farthing. The half-crown's initial mark is (R) and it was minted in London under Parliament. Dates to between 1644 and 1645 AD. The silver coin diameter is 33mm, the copper alloy coin's is 20mm.
