The initial mark is illegible due to clipping. London mint. North (1991: 160). The coin has been clipped in several places removing some of the obverse and reverse legends. Overall dimensions: 30.6 mm in diameter, 1.1 mm in thickness and 5.6 g in weight.

An extremely worn struck Post Medieval silver Shilling of Charles I (1625-49 AD). Tower mint, probably under Parliament, 1642-8. In addition to severe wear on the surface of the coin, it has torn on the outer edges in multiple places and has been rippled, probably due to soil compression.
