A complete silver hammered sixpence of Charles I, dating to exactly 1625. First coinage (group A), Tower mint, initial mark; lis. The coin is slightly bent along its central axis and demonstrates some signs of clipping around its circumference, though is otherwise preserved in good condition. C.f North 1991, p. 130, no. 2235.

Obverse: Crowned bust left with XII behind [CAROLUS D G M]AG BRI FRA ET HIB REX
Reverse: Square shield CHRI[STO AUSPICE} REGNO.
The coin measures 29.5mm diameter, 1.1mm thick and weighs 5.65 grams.
