Worn and heavily clipped contemporary copy of a halfcrown of Charles I dating to the period AD 1625-1642. Group III. Uncertain initial mark. See: North, Vol. II, p. 135, nos. 2209 - 2213. The coin consists of a copper core sandwiched between two sheets of silver.
The coin has been clipped to the beaded inner circle, none of the inscription remains on either face.
