Reference: North, volume 2, numbers 2242-2247. The initial mark may be a tun, suggesting a date of AD 1636 - 1638. The coin is worn and slightly bent.

A silver Post Medieval coin; a sixpence (possibly a groat) of Charles I (AD 1625 - 1649), probably Aberystwyth mint dating from AD 1638 - 1642. There is a plume before the king's face and the reverse is an oval garnished shield. The coin is incomplete, with only about a third surviving. It is 23.8mm long, 10.8mm wide and 1mm thick. 1.33g. See number 2333 - 2336 on page 171 of North Volume 2 (1991).
