A silver hammered coin dating from the Post Medieval period: a halfcrown (2s 6d) of Charles I (AD 1625-49), dating from AD 1630 - 1631, of the Equestrian Portrait type group II, with an oval shield with CR above either side of a lis over a rose. The initial mark is a plume and dates this coin to AD 1630-31. See North volume 2 (1975) page 135, number 2205. Compare BERK-0ACEBE. The measurements are; diameter 35.5mm, thickness 1.7mm, and weight 14.76g.
