A silver plated forgery of a shilling of Charles I. The coin is made from a copper core which has a thick coating of silver or tin. The obverse is complete worn but has several scratches as well as patches where the plating has peeled off. The reverse has the legend [CHRISTO AVSPI]CE REGNO, which surrounds a worn shield. The initial mark is unclear. Approximately half of the coin survives, having been cut down the centre to void it.
