A post medieval silver halfgroat of Charles I dating to AD 1638-1642. CAROLVS:D:G:M:B:ET:H:REX obverse depicting a crowned bust facing left with II behind the head. IVSTITIA THRONVM FIRMAT reverse depicting a large plume. Initial mark on both sides is a book. Mint of Aberystwyth. North 2343 (North, JJ, 1991, English Hammered Coinage Volume 2, Spink & Son, London, p 172, no 2343).

A silver Post Medieval threepence of Charles I dating to the period AD 1638-1642. This coin is pierced at 12 o' clock on the obverse. The perforation has been drilled. Civil war, Aberystwyth mint, book initial mark. North: 2340.
