A very worn silver Post Medieval penny of Charles I, probable London mint with two pellets as an initial mark dating to c. AD 1625-1649. Fourth bust with 'I' behind bust, Group D (North 2268). The lettering 'ET' on the obverse appears to lie over part of the bust. This coin has been pierced through at 6 o'clock on the obverse, possibly to allow for re-use as a token or pendant.

A fragment of Post-Medieval Royal farthing (type 3, Maltravers 'round') of Charles I (1625-49), probably a counterfeit. The coin is broken from coin centre, slight wear. Obverse: Crown with crossed sceptres, inner beaded circle Reverse: Crowned harp, inner beaded circle Date: 1634-6 Reference: See Peck pp 45-6, there were so many counterfeit farthings in circulation by 1635, that all the farthings were withdrawn and replaced by a new issue, the Rose Farthings.
