A post-medieval silver sixpence of Charles I (1625-49), Group D (North 2240) dating 1632-33, mint: Tower under Charles I, initial mark: harp. Ref: North 1991: 161. Obverse: crowned bust left, VI behind neck; CAROLVS D.G. MAG. BRI. FR.[ET] HIB.REX. Reverse: oval garnished shield bearing royal arms, C / R to the side; CHRISTO [A]VSPIC[E ] REG[N]O. Die axis is 10 o'clock. Weight is 2.73g, diameter is 26.0mm and thickness is 0.5mm.
