A complete, worn and pierced post-Medieval silver halfgroat of Charles I (1625-1649). Group B to Group G, initial marks: illegible, c. 1630-c. 1649 (North 1991, 161-162, refs: 2250-2260). Inner circle on both sides. The mark of value is higher than usual and the visible reverse inscription does not seem to be at its usual orientation. The coin has been pierced with a square hole, c. 1.1 x 1.1mm at about 9 o' clock on the obverse. It seems to have been modified as a 'love-token' as it is slightly S-shaped.
