A complete silver coin of Post-Medieval date (AD 1558-1649). The coin is heavily worn and struck coin with the letters R B stamped onto one side. Probably a Sixpence or Groat.
Any detail on the coin has been worn off or deliberately removed, meaning it is hard to identify with any degree of certainty. It is likely, based on its size, to be either a groat from the reign of Elizabeth I to Charles I. The coin also has two bends, in opposing directions, similar to ‘love tokens’ of this period.
