Legend: [I.]D.[G.R]OSA.SINE.SPINA. Reverse features a fourchee long-cross above royal shield within beaded circle. Mint mark: lis (1558-1560 AD; 1567-1570). Legend: [CI]VI.TA[S.L]ON.D[ON]. It has an irregular flan. Diameter: 16.08mm; thickness: 0.53mm; weight: 0.79g.

Silver hammered shilling of Elizabeth I (1588-1603 AD). Dated 1567. Second coinage (1561-1582 AD). Coronet mint mark.  Obverse is heavily worn and the bust is unidentifiable. The legend reads [ELIZABETH D] G ANG [DRA ET HIB] REGINA. Reverse depicts a quartered shield divided by long cross fournee with date above. Legend, within a circumferential pelleted border, reads POS[UI DEU AD]IUTORE[M MEU]. Some wear has rendered large parts of the legend illegible.
