A base silver (billon) Douzain of Henry IV of France (1589-1610; King of Navarre from 1572), dated 1595 (Duplessy 1247), mint: uncertain. Obverse: + HENRICVS.IIII.DG.FRAN.ET.NAVA.REX; crowned shield (arms of France) flanked by H either side. Reverse: SIT NOMEN.DNI.BENEDICT 1[5]95 depicting large cross with fluer de lis and crown in opposite angles. Die axis is almost 12 o'clock. Weight is 1.93g, diameter is 23.7mm, thickness is 0.8mm.
