An incomplete Post-Medieval groat of Edward VI (1547-53) in the name of Henry VIII, uncertain initial mark, struck at Bristol and dating to 1547-1549. Reference: North 1874 Obverse: Crowned bust right. [HEN]RIC 8 D [------] Reverse: Long cross over Royal shield. CIVI/[TAS]/[B]RIS/[TOL] The coin measures 25.7mm long, 18.6mm wide, 0.5mm thick and weighs1.35 grams.
