A clipped silver post-medieval shilling of Charles I dating to AD 1625-1649.
Obverse: group F, sixth (briot style) bust with stellate lace collar. Widespread double-arched crown and to the right is XII.
Reverse: Square-topped shield over cross moline.
The inscriptions around the edges are intelligible, possibly due to clipping.
Measurements: 27mm in diameter and 4.17g.
