A Post-Medieval silver sixpence, re-used as a 'love token' dating to c.1660-1760.
Purposefully abraded and bent on either side to form a shallow S-shaped profile. The reverse still displays part of the cruciform of crowned shields enabling the dating of the coin. There are no marks or letters present, so possibly uncompleted.

The coin has been bent in opposite directions on either side, forming a shallow S-shaped profile and partially abraded, but uncompleted as both sides are still very visible. No marks or letters present.

An early Post Medieval hammered sixpence of Elizabeth I (AD 1558 - 1603). The coin is from the 7th issue dated AD 1602. Surface of the obverse quite worn, but just possible to see the Crown on the head of the Bust. The reverse has a square-topped shield on long cross fourch'ee, with date 1602 above. Minted at The Tower of London.
Dimensions: Diameter 25.33mm, thickness 0.55mm and weight 2.6g. Die Axis 1 o'clock.
