An incomplete post-Medieval silver threepence of Elizabeth I (1558-1603), minted at London. Greek cross initial mark, dated 1578. North 1998. The coin is damaged around the flan possibly due to plough damage.
Obverse description: Crowned bust left. Rose behind head.
Obverse inscription: ELIZABETH D G ANG FR ET [HI REGINA]
Reverse description: Square shield on long cross fourchée dividing the inscription with date above 1578.
