An extremely worn silver Post-Medieval coin, probably intentionally worn blank and therefore illegible, but possibly a sixpence of William III (AD 1694-1702). The coin has been countermarked for use as a 'slap' token (or possibly a love token): one face is stamped or punched with the letter Q followed by two comma-like markings. This stamping has distorted the coin, which dips in this area, and bulges in the corresponding area on the opposite face.
