Heavily worn Post-Medieval copper alloy coin, possibly a Georgian farthing, c 1760-1820AD).  On the obverse is the outline of a male bust facing right.  The ties at the back of the head are clearly visible suggesting one of the Georges.  On th reverse the seated figure of Britannia facing left is clearly visible. Neither the legend nor date survives. The coin is slightly smaller than other farthings from the eighteenth century, and the flan is quite thin, suggesting that this may be a contemporary forgery. Measurements: Diameter: 20.7mm; Weight: 2.30g; Die Axis: 6

Probably a Post Medieval copper alloy George I first 'dump' issue halfpenny. The faces of the coin are quite degraded but what appears to be the right facing bust of George I is just about discernable in favourable light. The diameter and weight also conform to proposed issue, rather than the larger second issue. Probably dates to between c1717 and c1718 AD. Diameter 25mm, weight 5.79g.

A copper alloy Post Medieval coin; a farthing of William III, first issue, dated 1700. The coin is very worn and has been reused or modified by the addition of stamped marks on both faces. The obverse is embellished with a narrow heart and a quatrefoil. Together they look like a flower and leaves. The reverse has a line of probably three stamped marks. A crescent, a triangular wedge and a chevron, V or number 7.  The coin is 21.9mm in diameter, 1.4mm thick and weighs 3.56g. See Sink's standard catalogue (2011) number 3557 on page 372. It was perhaps used as a test or practise …
