A worn incomplete Post Medieval silver penny of the Commonwealth dating c.AD 1649-1660. London Tower Mint. As North (1991), page 206, number 2729. A small ragged section is missing on one edge. Obverse: Shield of St. George within wreath formed of palm and laurel branch. Reverse: Conjoined shields of St. George and Ireland. Value mark of I between two pellets above. It measures 14.99mm diameter, 0.45mm thick and weighs 0.41g.
