A post-Medieval copper alloy farthing token of Charles I (1625-49), Rose type (North 2287-93), not further defined. Ref: North 1991: 165.
The coin is very worn and corroded resulting in few diagnostic features remaining. The sceptres crossed through a crown can be seen on one side (obverse) and a rose on the other (reverse).
Charles I reigned from 1625 - 1649 AD, when he was executed, and a Commonwealth established in lieu of a Monarchy.
