A small body fragment of a cast, copper-alloy Sompting Type socketed axe of early Iron Age date, about 800 BC - 600 BC. Only a small sub-rectangular section of the main body of the axe survives with the breaks indicating its fragmentation in antiquity. The reverse is plain but the front face has two parallel ribs, each terminating in a pellet-in-circlet motif. The fragment is 24.3mm long, 21.4mm wide and 7.5mm thick. It weighs 16.4g.

A small body fragment of a cast, copper-alloy Sompting socketed axe of early Iron Age date. Only a small sub-rectangular section of the main body of the axe survives with the breaks indicating its fragmentation in antiquity. The reverse is plain but the obverse displays remains of two parallel ribs terminating one pellet-in-circlet each. There are parallels in Pendleton (1999), no. 125 and 130. The axe is likely to date from the eighth century BC. The length is 20.14mm, the width is 16.79mm, the thickness is 2.67mm and it weighs 4.00g.

Cast copper alloy miniature axe dating from the late Iron Age through to the Roman period.
It is a socketed type axe with a wide blade and a thin square neck measuring 6mm across. The socket is sub-square in section with moulding around the opening and a loop at the top. It is solid all the way through. The moulding at the neck consists of two grooved lines running parallel to each other. Cast copper alloy miniature axe dating from the late Iron Age through to the Roman period.
It is a socketed type axe with a wide blade and a thin square neck measuring 11.12mm across. The socket is sub-square in section with moulding around the opening and a loop at the top. The moulding at the neck consists of one raised line close to the lip of the neck. The body and blade of the axe flare outward from the socket to a fan-shaped blade. The neck and side loop have been filled with corrosion which appears orangey in colour, possibly being iron.
