Roman copper-alloy radiate of Carausius dating to the period AD 286 to 293 (Reece period 14). Probably PAX AVG reverse type depicting standing figure facing left holding branch out in right hand and vertical sceptre in left. Minted at London. RIC V pt II p.472 Carausius 101ff.
The coin is unusually small and thick and is most likely to be a contemporary copy. The obverse seems to fit on this module while the reverse is bigger and more is off the flan. The F O//ML was the last issue to be commonly copied in Carausius' reign.
This coin is included in Sam Moorhead's corpus for RIC.
