Probable tin-lead alloy Unidentified fragment, consisting of three branched arms of varying length, all broken in antiquity, The unbroken surfaces are regular and contour smoothly into one another, but the object overall lacks a meaningful plane of symmetry to help fix the shape. The object is a grey colour with a spalling cracked surface and a grey lustre in places, typical of some tin alloys. The high density also suggests a significant amount of lead in the alloy. A complete Post-Medieval milled tin halfpenny, circa AD1689 - AD1692. This coin, which has a copper core, was issued during the reign of William and Mary, AD1688 - 1694. Obverse description:- conjoined busts right. Obverse inscription:- GVLIELMVS MARIA. Reverse description:- Brittania seated left. Reverse inscription:- BRITAN NIA. The coin measures 29.2mm in diameter, has a thickness of 2.4mm, and weighs 13.0g, and is in fair condition. Ref:- This appears as coin number 3448 in Spink"s "Coins of England & the United Kingdom", Page 336.

A late medieval or early post-medieval tin pilgrim badge dating from 1400-1550 AD in the form of a pair of conjoined gloves. Both thumbs of the gloves are on the outside as if the hands are cupped. There is a pattern of five raised dots on the palm of each glove, four in a square with one in the middle. On the reverse of the object is a crude pin without a catchplate. It is probable that this badge represents the gloves of Thomas Beckett. Width: 24.98mm, thickness: 2.48mm, weight: 5.87g.
