A fragment of Roman painted wall plaster dating c. AD 43-410. The fragment comprises a small fragment of oxidised ceramic tile with a thick layer of off-white plaster with abundant quartz and calcareous inclusions with some possible crushed flint. The upper surface is smooth and flat, possibly painted with a layer of grey paint.  Length: 59.47mm and width: 49.70mm thickness: 19.65mm and weight; 57.35g.  Scattered fragments of roof, wall and floor tile were found in the same field see: SUSS-3B8874.

Two fragments of wall plaster of probable Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1700 – 1900. The fabric is buff coloured, hard and gritty with numerous variable organic inclusions. Striations on one surface of the larger fabric are suggestive of stucco; a render used as a decorative coating for walls and ceilings, exterior walls, and as a sculptural and artistic material in architecture. Plaster fragment. A small fragment of off-white plaster with frequent calcareous inclusions to length 4mm, locally burnt to a salmon pink tint. The pink tint is more noticeable on what may be a flat surface, though the object is too small to assert that any of its surfaces are original, let alone that this may have been exposed to a house fire. Similar material previously reported from the site was regarded as daub from a hearth or oven if not from walling. A small fragment of probably Roman wall plaster. It has a relatively soft white fabric with gritty inclusions, terminating in old breaks in all directions. The surface has been flattened, smoothed and painted with a red/pink (red ochre) with a small portion remaining. Whether this formed part of a main panel or a border between panels on a painted plaster surface is uncertain due to the preservation of the object.
