A possibly Neolithic microlith, dating to 2500-2000 BC. It is triangular in plan and sub-triangular in cross-section. It is a secondary flake manufactured by a light brown flint core (15% of cortex surviving). The dorsal face has a longitudinal shallow ridge and long and abrupt parallel retouches on two adjacent edges. The third edge has short, abrupt and scaled retouches. The ventral face has a shallow bulb of percussion on one end and short, semi abrupt scaled retouches on one edge. It could be a transverse arrowhead although the o…

The pointed tip has a triangular shape and has one edge fully worked with short, scaled and abrupt retouches; the opposite long side with no retouches on the tip edge has very short scaled and abrupt retouches on large part of its midsection. The dorsal face has a hump on its wider end and short…

A rod shaped piercer, brown in colour, possessing bi-facial retouch and which has been expediently made. The dorsal face has been invasively retouched whereas the ventral face exhibits continuous retouch with an abrupt angle and is of edge extent to aid in piercing function. Bond (2005) illustrates an example on p119, fig 5.103, 52 which dates to the Mesolithic.
