Dark blue-black flint with white surface staining, East Coast flint from Glacial Drift. Possibly Debitage as identified by finder; this reporter regards evidence for 'working' as natural damage. Flat ovate fragment of dark flint with chipping all around its edges. The rippling from these chips appears to run inwards from the edge of the object, and probably result from the object rolling in surf. An incomplete Neolithic Petit tranchet arrowhead of Green’s type a (1980, P.101). The flint is of a grey/white colour and has a small patch of cortex on one face. The trapezoidal shaped arrowhead has abrupt retouch on both mesial edges of the dorsal face. The bottom edge is broken. The surviving length is 8.3mm, the width is 35.7mm and the weight is 5.37g.
