An incomplete Mesolithic blade, dating 10,000 - 4,000 BC. The blade is formed of a mottled mid grey-brown flint, with a patch of white chalk cortex visible on the dorsal side. It has broken at the distal end so that the striking platform is no longer visible. There is also damage along the left edge on the ventral side, which appears natural or accidental. There is evidence of retouch on the left hand edge of the dorsal side, though it appears unfinished, only extending along an upper portion of the blade. the striking of the object has caused undulations on the dorsal side as well as ridging.
