An incomplete knapped flint long bladed and backed knife, probably dating from the Mesolithic – Late Neolithic period, between 8000 – 2200 BC (length: 93mm; width: 22mm; thickness: 9mm; weight: 20.71g). The artefact has faintly visible ripples or ‘lunettes’ down its length on the ventral side, although the bulb of percussion and additional scars are not present. A knapped flint of prehistoric date, probably Neolithic and possibly used as a knife. The flint is curved and has two very sharp edges. It does not appear to have been retouched after being struck from the flint core. The bulb of percussion is clear at the proximal end, as is the bulbar scar. The flint is a pale grey in colour. It is triangular in section. Find not photographed.

A large knapped flint knife of probable Neolithic date. The flint has had retouch applied to parts of the cutting edge. An area of cortex has been retained on one lateral edge which would facilitate comfortable use of the tool, allowing the index finger to rest on this portion of the tool.
