An incomplete struck / knapped flint bladelet, made from tertiary debitage, of Mesolithic dating (9, 000 BC to 4, 000 BC). The bladelet is sub triangular in shape, with a triangular cross section. No bulb of percussion is present, as that end of the bladelet has been removed. No retouch present along the edges. A possible notch is present along one side, with no retouch present. It measures 25.4 mm in length, 12.7 mm wide and 4.2 mm thick. It weighs 1.1 g. The bladelet is a dark brown colour, with a small amount of surface patination present. A complete struck / knapped tertiary debitage flake, of probable Neolithic dating (c. 4,000 BC to c. 2, 350 BC). The debitage flake has a trapezoidal cross section, and is sub rectangular in shape. Minimal retouch is present along one of the long edges (short, subparallel, low angle). Faint remains of a bulb of percussion remain on the ventral surface. The flake has been made from a light grey flint, with a high degree of surface patination. Length: 33.1 mm Width: 20.2 mm Thickness: 5.2 mm Weight: 3.9 g Line on the photograph indicating the location of retouch.
