This is most probably the remains of a thumbnail scraper from the Neolithic period. There is some remaining evidence of a platform at the proximal end. The dorsal surface carries several ridges and negative scars. The ventral surface shows limited evidence of a diffuse bulbar scar. One edge appears to have been re-touched but due to the poor quality of the flint this is not definite. The material is dark brown with small light grey inclusions throughout. There is one very small piece of surviving cortex.

Relatively small flint thumbnail scraper (side and end) of probable later Neolithic or very early Bronze Age date (2900 - 1800 BC). The scraper is formed from the end of a blade like tertiary flake. It is broadly rectangular in plan and an irregular oval in cross section. It measures 17.2mm length, 17.1mm width, is 7.6mm thick and weighs 2.81 grams. Large flake of tertiary debitage which has been burnt in a fire. The flaking suggest a Neolithic date (c. 3500-2100 BC). The flake is irregular in plan and broadly sub-rectangular in cross section, evidence for flaking is present and it is possible that one small area of the dorsal face has been reworked as small relatively neat facets are present. If this were used as a tool it is likely it was produced ad hoc and discarded once a short lived task had been formed. Small snapped blade of probable later Mesolithic date (6500-3500 BC). The blade is irregular and possibly is a core rejuvenation flake. The blade consists a clear faceted striking platform on one edge, below which a series of flake scars are present on the dorsal face. The upper scar on the dorsal face is irregular, possibly due to a flaw in the flint. Two fragments of tertiary waste flakes / debitage. Both flakes show evidence of knapping in several directions; neither is a tool or exhibit retouch to any face. An assemblage of thirteen (13) pieces of secondary and tertiary flint debitage, probably of Neolithic origin, from the Walton Basin. The find consists of flint and chert. The total weight of this assemblage is 45g, the largest piece measures 38.7x27.3x7.25mm and has the appearance of chert with a mottled grey core and darker inclusions. The remaining assemblage consists of mainly flint with the usual colour variations of brown through to a pale cream with inclusions and banding.

This is an amorphous irregular flint core, probably of Neolithic origin from the Walton Basin in Wales. One side is cortex with the other exhibiting various striking platforms and removal scars to the face. A lithic flake/implement of probable Neolithic origin. This artefact has the look of a blade, with the remnants of a diffuse bulb of percussion and the conventional dorsal/ventral surfaces. The dorsal surface has a number of negative scars from earlier removal with fissures and abundant concoidal scarring to both long edges. The long edges are, however, quite steep and there is also retouch on the ventral surface at the distal end. The material is a dark brown/grey flint with numerous inclusions of both darker and lighter material.

A chunk of secondary flint that may have been an implement of Neolithic origin. The section is thick at 11.45mm but there are signs of it having been worked. The ventral surface has a bulb of percussion with bulbar scaring and the dorsal face has two dorsal ridges and scarring with the remnants of cortex. The lower edge has then been re-touched with conchoidal scarring along the edge. In use it would perhaps have been a scraper. A Neolithic flint implement in the form of a blade or knife, with both long edges having been re-touched. The ventral surface has a bulb of percussion with faint rippling beneath. The opposite edge has been fashioned into a double denticulate or serrated working edge. A flint implement of Neolithic origin. The flint appears to have been broken in two with the remaining section missing the bulbar scar but retaining the typical ripple effect to the ventral surface, running down to the distal end. The dorsal surface has a central ridge with a secondary ridge formed by flake removal. Both long edges have normal re-touch and thus, this was probably a blade. This is a flint piece from a post medieval flintlock musket or pistol. The piece has the typical oblong form with a chisel edge. The long sides have been re-touched and shaped with numerous conchoidal scars to form the straight edges. These flints were in use from the early 17th century into the early 19th century. The material is a mid brown flint with sparse dark inclusions.

A knife or scraper made from a flint flake of roughly triangular cross-section. It has a small bulb of percussion beneath the striking platform and the proximal end appears to have been worked to form the curved part of the cutting/scraping edge. It also appears to have been left with a sharp point. The ventral surface is gently undulating. The dorsal surface has a predominant ridge with dorsal scarring to one side.
