A complete flint discoidal knife of Neolithic or Early Bronze Age date (3500 BC - 1500 BC. Length 109.0mm, width 86.0mm and 17.0mm thick. Weight 188.12g. The implement, a large discoidal knife, is sub-oval in plan and lentoid in transverse cross-section. It is made of flint which is grey patinated and the flaking covers the whole of each face. The edges of each shorter side have been finely polished. The implement is undamaged and was found on the surface. It is in a remarkably good condition. This object is a Mode 2: Acheulian handaxe of the Lower Palaeolithic. Mode 2 tools being worked symmetrically on both sides indicating greater care in the production of the final tool. The axe is a pointed oval shape and bifacially worked. It is made from a grey cream mottled flint, now patinated with orange/ochre. All the edges are clearly worked and there appears to be a small section of cortex (or an inclusion) on the centre of one face. A complete leaf-shaped flint arrowhead of probable Neolithic date (4000BC-2200BC). It is a brown-grey colour, retouched on both surfaces although an area of dirty white cortex survives over about half of one surface and a very small area is present towards the edge of the other. Largely opaque, but with some translucency at the edges where the flint is thinner. 25 x 18.3 x 4mm. Weight: ??g - Weight to follow from finder.

A complete leaf shaped arrowhead dating to the early Neolithic period, (circa 3500-2500 BC). The arrowhead is lozenge (pointed oval) in shape and lentoid in cross section. The dorsal and ventral faces of the arrowhead have been extensively and delicately worked with neat well-formed pressure / ripple flakes. There are no visible signs of use. The flint is a poor quality mottled pale grey colour with fine orange veins passing through it. The selection of the flint with this distinctive vein could represent a deliberate aesthetic choice. An incomplete Early Bronze Age barbed and tanged flint arrowhead. This arrowhead has been knapped from a uniform grey coloured piece of flint. The arrowhead is broadly sub-triangular in plan and lentoid in cross section. It has been knapped using a number of different techniques, including direct and indirect percussion, as well as pressure / ripple / invasive flaking. This is most probably the remains of a thumbnail scraper from the Neolithic period. There is some remaining evidence of a platform at the proximal end. The dorsal surface carries several ridges and negative scars. The ventral surface shows limited evidence of a diffuse bulbar scar. One edge appears to have been re-touched but due to the poor quality of the flint this is not definite. The material is dark brown with small light grey inclusions throughout. There is one very small piece of surviving cortex.

Relatively small flint thumbnail scraper (side and end) of probable later Neolithic or very early Bronze Age date (2900 - 1800 BC). The scraper is formed from the end of a blade like tertiary flake. It is broadly rectangular in plan and an irregular oval in cross section. It measures 17.2mm length, 17.1mm width, is 7.6mm thick and weighs 2.81 grams. Large flake of tertiary debitage which has been burnt in a fire. The flaking suggest a Neolithic date (c. 3500-2100 BC). The flake is irregular in plan and broadly sub-rectangular in cross section, evidence for flaking is present and it is possible that one small area of the dorsal face has been reworked as small relatively neat facets are present. If this were used as a tool it is likely it was produced ad hoc and discarded once a short lived task had been formed. Small snapped blade of probable later Mesolithic date (6500-3500 BC). The blade is irregular and possibly is a core rejuvenation flake. The blade consists a clear faceted striking platform on one edge, below which a series of flake scars are present on the dorsal face. The upper scar on the dorsal face is irregular, possibly due to a flaw in the flint.
