A fragment of late Neolithic to early Bronze Age flint barbed and tanged arrowhead. The arrowhead has been pressure flaked and invasively retouched on both sides to create a thin bi-convex lenticular cross-section. The original shape of the barb ends looks to have been square. The triangular tip and a large part of the tang are missing leaving around 70% of the arrowhead intact; a fact which precludes full classification of the piece. Similar arrowheads are shown in Butler.C; Prehistoric Flintwork (2005) p162-165 and are dated to circa 2500-1500 BC.

Five flint core fragments dating to the Mesolithic period (10,000-4001 BC). The cores are in varying states of preservation, with at least two showing modern plough damage. The removals are long and thin, typical of mesolithic microlith or bladelet production and are single platformed, with removal being taken from the same direction. All retain at least 10% coretx. The flints are all mottled blue-grey in colour.

Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
A truncated blade fragment dating to the Mesolithic period (10,000-4001 BC). The blade fragment is made from a mottled blue-grey flint and does not retain either the platform or bulb of percussion. There is weather damage at the proximal end on the dorsal surface. A small area of soft-hammer retouch can be seen on the right dorsal lateral, although this may be later reuse.

Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
A collection of eleven (11) core fragments, dating to the Mesolithic period (10,000-4001 BC). All the fragments are damaged, possibly during use but also by more modern elements such as ploughing. They may be rejuvination flakes, when a core was re-worked to achieve a better tablet to work from.

Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
A flint microburin dating to the Mesolithic period (10,000-4001 BC). The microburin has been made on a mottled light bluish-grey flint with white calcification. A microburin is the waste formed when a notched blade is broken to form a geometric microlith. The notch is clearly visible on one lateral of the dorsal side.

A flint microblade or microlith dating to the Mesolithic period (10,000-4001 BC). The microlith has been made on a mottled light bluish-grey flint with white calcification. All that survives in this example is the tip of the distal end.

Three flint scrapers dating from the later Neolithic to Early/Middle Bronze Age (c. 2400-1600 BC). All three scrapers are made from a calcified blue-grey flint, all retain the platform and bulb. All have soft hammer retouch at the distal end and part way down both dorsal laterals, with one scrpaer being less reworked than the other two. The ventral surfaces are not retouched. These objects are part of a larger collection from what appears to be a multiphase site, with these scrapers being some of the later examples, most likely Early Bronze Age in date (c. 2350-1600 BC).

A collection of three poorly-executed flint scraper, dating from the Early to Middle Bronze Age. Two are made on secondary flakes while the third is made on a tertiary flake. All have hard hammer retouching at the dorsal distal end and some limited retouch down at least one lateral. The larger flake, or really a chunk, is the most crudely manufactured of the three. These objects are part of a larger collection from what appears to be a multiphase site.

A collection of three end-scrapers, dating to the Mesolithic period. Two of the scrapers are complete while a third is truncated. All three are made on secondary flakes and all have steep soft hammer retouching at the dorsal distal end. The colour of the flint varies from mottled blue-grey to brown. This style of scraper is usually associated with the Mesolithic period, dating from c. 10,000 - 4000 BC. These objects are part of a larger collection from what appears to be a multiphase site.

An unfinished flint scraper, probably dating from the Mesolithic to Neolithic period. The scraper is made on tertiary flake, and has little soft-hammer retouch on the dorsal distal end and lateral; it has been suggested that this is a tool in production, as the retouch is not finished. It is also possible that the flake was discarded or rejected during manufacture. The colour of the flint varies from a light to mottled grey-blue. These objects are part of a larger collection from what appears to be a multiphase site.

A flint borer or piercer of Neolithic date. The piercer has been fabricated on a tertiary flake of grey-brown flint. There is extensive soft hammer removals over the dorsal surface of the piercer with concentrated, parallel retouching along the left lateral where the tip of the piercer is formed. The ventral side of the tool is unworked but curved, possibly from a hinge fracture. This object is part of a larger collection from what appears to be a multiphase site.
