A secondary flint waste flake of prehistoric date. The pear-shaped flake retains some of its original cortex on the dorsal surface, and the ventral surface is a recorticated off-white. There is no visible bulb-of-percussion or rippling, and this may be a thermally fractured, natural, piece rather than a struck flake.

A tertiary flint waste flake of prehistoric date. The irregular flake has a bulb-of-percussion at the proximal end of the ventral surface, below which are diffuse ripples. The surface is a mottled off-white to blueish-grey colour, due to recortication, and there is no visible retouch.

A flint flake probably dating from the late Mesolithic to Middle Neolithic period, 6300 - 2400 BC. The is a white grey colour, with orange brown patches showing through from underneath where the flint has been hit. The flake is D shaped, and oval in cross section. On the ventral face there is a large bulb of percussion on the right lower edge, with the striking platform slightly on the mesal edge. The conchoidal ripple marks radiate out from this point in a diagonal line across the flake on both sides. On the dorsal face there is evidence of the removal of parallel blades. The extent …
