Record ID: BERK-6A37B4
Object type: BLADE
Broad period: BRONZE AGE
County: Oxfordshire
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
A broken blade fragment made on a teriary flake. The platform and bulb is retained. The flint has a blue-grey core covered with a thick white patina from the chalk. The object has partial retouch on the dorsal edges and is broken at the distal end. It is crude in its manufacture and finishing, suggesting a Bronze Age date, like the rest of the assemblage from this area. The lithic measures 41.49mm long, 16.98mm wide and is 4.92mm thick. It weighs 5.7gms.
