A flint retouched blade of uncertain date, Mesolithic to Neolithic, about 9000 BC - 2200 BC. It is formed on translucent light grey flint which has occasional flecks of patination. It is rectangular and the distal end is truncated. There is very slight retouch which is short, sub-parallel and semi-abrupt on the right side and distal end. The blade is 21.3mm long, 12.3mm wide and 3.8mm thick. 0.91g.

Flint scraper, 37 x 15 mm, weight 4.21g. Basically semi-circular, one edge is slightly incurved and the other is strongly curved with crude retouch on one face. Most of this face is covered with thin cortex. Probably later Bronze Age in date, due to the amount of remaining cortex and crude retouch.

Late Neolithic to Early Bronze age flint thumbnail scraper, 45.91 in diameter and 4.9mmm thick with a weight of 15.4g. The object is "O" shaped, made from a dark brown flint and is complete. The ventral and dorsal surfaces are smooth with ripples clearly visible up to halfway from the proximal end towards the distal end on the venral. The retouch is short, scaled and has a semi-abrupt angle.

A complete knapped lithic implement of late Mesolithic to early Neolithic date, circa 7000 - 3500 BC. The implement is an awl or piercer formed from a tertiary flake which is sub-triangular in plan and D-shaped in section. The ventral surface is mostly smooth with ripples of percussion. The dorsal surface is irregular displaying extensive working including semi-abrupt, invasive, stepped retouch. The flint is a light grey colour. Late Neolithic/early Bronze Age c.3000 - c.1500 BC 'thumbnail' scraper. Although scrapers are fairly ubiquitous, the retouch looks invasive and penetrates deeply into the body of the scraper. The scraper has retouch on c.75% of its circular shape and brown is a molted grey and white colour. The base of the scraper is relatively flat with slight ripples indicative of a soft hammered flake. A strike platform is vistable.  Length: 15.07mm, Width: 16.42mm, Thickness at its thickest point: 4mm. Weight: 1.24g.

Piece of worked flint from a flintlock gun mechanism. The flintlock was introduced in the middle of the 16th century but it wasn't until the reign of William III that the flintlock became the main regulation firearm for the British Army. The knapped flint was used within the musket mechanism to produce a spark and would last between 20-25 shots before it had to be replaced. The flint is roughly rectangular in both plan and cross-section though the section tapers from one end to the other, with all four edges showing working.
