Flint knife dating from the late Neolithic into Early Bronze Age, C.3200-1800BC. It is oval in plan and sub-triangular in section. Ripples can be seen on both surfaces where it has been worked. The object has some of the characteristics of a type known as Plano-convex knife, though it is not absolutely typical of this type. Types like this are reasonably common in early Bronze Age barrow burials though many have been found unassociated with archaeological features/structures. It has a mid-white mottled patina.
