Mesolithic or Early Neolithic Axe roughout. Thick sub-rectangular biface (length 103mm)in pale grey flint with slight iron-spotting on both faces, but no appreciable patination. Probably intended to be an axe (probably Mesolithic) but left unfinished due to two large coarse-grained inclusions.

Mesolithic or possibly Early Neolithic Adze/Axe. Long narrow high backed flake (length 95mm)with some residual thin weathered cortex on the striking platform and left side. Patinated bluish white. Somewhat curved in profile. Some steep retouch on both edges, though principally on the right. The distal tip is the broadest point of the flake and has been sharpened by a tranchet blow from the right side. It shows signs of ancient use wear, mainly on the ventral face.

Neolithic Flaked Axe in pale grey flint (dark grey near cortex). One face flaked overall, the other carrying about 50% thin pebble cortex, with flaking only at the butt end(narrow and rounded) and along the broad cutting edge. The completely flaked face has sparse spotty iron staining while the partly cortical face has streaky iron marks, probably fom agricultural implements. It is unusual to find axes with such large areas of cortex remaining and it may be that the axe is unfinished. Dimensions 112 x 62 x 19mm.

Neolithic double-ended scraper. Narrow secondary flake, broadening at the distal end, where a rounded scraper end has been formed but has broken at the distal edge, which, however, shows signs of continued use. The proximal end has fine steep re-touch to give a narrow scraper. Unpatinated.

Plano-convex knife prepared on a blade like flake at least 70mm long. The dorsal face is flaked from both lateral edges, leaving a crest with traces of cortex. The outline is rather irregular. It differs from the usual Early Bronze Age plano-convex knife in having additional retouch on both lateral edges on the ventral face and removal of most of the proximal end. Possibly unfinished or an example of a late Neolithic rod.

Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age Flint triangular arrowhead (46 x 44 x 9mm). Made on a flake fragment, the dorsal face is largely finished by invasive pressure flaking, having only a small area of the original blank. The ventral face has some invasive flaking on two edges only, not extending to the full length of either side. There is no sharp point on any of the apices. Although classified as an arrowhead, this artefact is rather thick and heavy for such a use and may be either a spearpoint or an unfinished arrowhead of the barbed and tanged type. c.3000 - c.1500 BC.

Lithic implement rather like a small handaxe, Neolithic or Bronze Age in date. It has not been struck but created from a pebble or nodule. A patch of coretex survives on each face, c.10%. The flint is browny grey in colour. Measures 83x50x26mm and weighs 97.06g. While the edges had been worked, it is not extensive working, merely enough to give a sharpish edge.
