Object type: MICROLITH
Broad period: MESOLITHIC
County: Greater London Authority
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
An incomplete microlith struck from a bladelet of orange brown flint, 29.3mm in length with a trapezoidal cross section. At the proximal end is a retouched notch next to a break where a microburin has been removed; there is no distal break suggesting the object was discarded before completion (see Butler, 2005: 90 for a summary of the microburin technique). There appears to be some abrupt retouch along one long side adjacent to the notch.
