Barbed arrowhead, the object is triangular in shape with invasive flaking scars covering the dorsal and the ventral, barb 5mm long and 5mm wide in the centre of the base, the flint has an off white patina. One of the sides has been retouched so as to form a concave notch that is 6mm long 3mm deep this retouch has removed the patina exposing the dark grey flint. This flint dates to the early Bronze Age, but was retouched at a much later date after the patina had formed, possibly in the Bronze Age or even in the Iron Age.

Early Bronze Age flint barbed and tanged arrowhead The arrowhead is near-complete, missing the tip and is slightly asymmetric with near-straight and gradually convergent sides. The arrowhead has been bi-facially pressure flaked, equally on the two faces. One face is more convex, presumably the original dorsal surface of the flake. The flint is non-cortical and has patinated white. Surviving length of 21.9mm; maximum width across the barbs of 18.8mm; a maximum thickness above the tang of 4.7mm and a weight of 1.3g

An extremely finally knapped flint transverse arrowhead. Sub-triangular flake that has two large negative flaking scars on the dorsal with a third negative hinge scar towards the base. The edges are formed form semi-abrupt scaled, direct flaking, on both sides and low-angled flake removal at the base. The forward edge is slightly concave and has direct, semi-abrupt, short flake removal. Traces of a bulb-of-percussion is visible on the ventral but this is now covered by scaled, low angled flaking scars from the right sides and base. This is a dark grey flint with lighter brownish-gr…

Possible oblique arrowhead that is asymmetrical worked edge on a triangular reworked flake. On the right side is direct, scaled, low angled retouch that creates a pointed tip at one end and a curved base at the other, this retouch has removed the patina that has formed on the rest of the flint. The other edge is broken but this is an old break and covered with the patina. Brown flint with a light speckled patina. This artefacts dates to the Late Neolithic.

Flint barbed and tanged arrowhead. This item is triangular in plan and would have had extended barbs to each side of the base, but both are now missing.  In-between the barbs would be a rectangular tang, but again this is also truncated. Multiple flaking scars cover both the ventral and dorsal sides. The flint is covered in a creamy patina with light grey speckling and infrequent orange patches.

An incomplete flint barbed-and-tanged arrowhead dating to the Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age c.2500-1500 cal BC. The arrowhead is made from a tertiary flake of flint. It has a slightly glossy surface and is predominantly white with grey inclusions and orange flecks. The arrowhead is missing the tip of one of its barbs, and the tip of the tang. The breaks expose the darker grey material inside the arrowhead which is surrounded by the white surface layer suggesting that they occurred more recently. Each surface is covered in scaled retouch. The …
