Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
Lithic implement, worked flint side scraper. No bulb of percussion on the ventral surface, two flake scars. Two flake scars on the dorsal surface with short retouch along the upper half of the left edge, and possibly along the lower half, although this could be damage. Mottled mid brown & cream flint, with thin white/grey patina on the ventral surface, c.10% cortical (along dorsal right edge), orange cortex. Probably Bronze Age. Length 28.90mm, width 20.23mm, thickness 4.35mm, weight 2.73g.

Object type: ARROWHEAD
Broad period: BRONZE AGE
County: Derbyshire
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
A flint tanged arrowhead (length: 30.5mm; width: 17mm; thickness: 3.5mm; weight: 1.65g). A small crudely worked arrowhead with more extensive working down one edge. The head is rather uneven and tang is very small and fragile (length: 8mm; width: 6mm) and tapers down into a point. There is remains of the original core surface on one side. This arrowhead is clearly paralleld with those of the Sutton 'a' type which mainly occur in the Upper Thames region, Cotswolds and the Midlands (Stephen Greeen, 1980, page 119).

Worked flint flake, roughly triangular. The ventral surface is unworked. There is a scar on the bulb. The two longer edges of the dorsal surface are retouched, the left side at roughly 50°, the right side at roughly 80°. This looks superficially like an arrowhead, but is probably a scraper or fabricator. Mottled grey flint. Length 39.38mm, width 23.24mm, thickness 8.51mm, weight 7.81g.
