A complete chert burin of Mesolithic date (9000-3450 BC). The lithic is sub-rectangular in plan and plano-convex in section. The dorsal surface has three predominant negative scars with corresponding arrises. The proximal end has been abruptly blunted and the distal end tapers to a point. The left hand edge has fine, semi-abrupt retouch. The ventral surface is flat with a two minor bulbs of percussion situated at both the proximal and distal ends. The lithic retains no cortex and is therefore a tertiary flake. The chert is light grey and cream in colour with banded portions.

The dorsal surface has three predominant negative scars with corresponding arrises. Distal end tapers to a point along the left hand edge. Both the right hand and distal edge have rough semi-abrupt retouch. The ventral surface is slight convex due to a bulb of percussion situated at the proximal end. The lithic retains no cortex. The chert is a light brown in colour. The lithic is tertiary. Length: 26.16mm, Width: 23.85mm, Thickness: 11.30mm, Weight: 6.7g.

A complete Mesolithic flint Burin. Teardrop in plan, concavo convex in section, tapers to a point with a projecting ridge along the dorsal face. 30% or the surface is cortex therefore a secondary flake. On the distal face there is a prominent bulb of percussion and some bulbar scarring. The dorsal faces have scaled flaking with short semi-abrupt scaled retouch.25% of the right hand end towards the proximal end has short abrupt retouching. There is evidence of burin spall removal from a retouch platform around the point indicating a truncation burin.
