Record ID: GAT-533ACD
Object type: BLADE
Broad period: NEOLITHIC
County: Conwy
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
A flint blade of prehistoric date, potentially dating to the late Neolithic period.
The find appears to be a tertiary flake with no traces of cortex on the dorsal face.
On the ventral face it is possible to identify the platform; a potential bulb scar and bulb, while a number of ripples can be seen running from the proximal to distal end.
Looking at the ventral face, orientated with the distal top and proximal bottom, it is apparent that the blade bears evidence of working along the left edge, while the opposing right edge may show evidence of a more recent break.
